Michelle McCool faced Melina in a title unification Lumberjill Match at Night of Champions 2010. Melina entered as WWE Divas Champion, while McCool represented the WWE Women’s Championship through her partnership with Layla. Layla was the officially recognized Women’s Champion, but she and McCool had been presenting themselves as co-champions as LayCool.

The match was designed to unify WWE’s two women’s championships into one title, with members of the women’s division surrounding the ring as lumberjills.
